Everything on a Grid Devlog #4: Match 3
Hello readers.
I was on holiday last week, and ended up sick from that trip. As a result I worked on this less than I'd have liked to.
Anyways, here's a new mechanic I've introduced into the cursed grid game: Match 3:
100% inspired by Bejewled.
Swap any two objects, as long as you form a line of 3 of the same gems. Use it to your advantage, you can swap a gem with anything, even empty space. You can even move things you normally couldn't...
Some minor additions include some small movement pop-in animations (They don't show really well on a 5fps gif).
Hopefully next week I'd have finished all of the levels using this mechanic and having the new mechanic ready. (It'll be Tetris pieces, to fit the theme of this world being "Remove").
