Everything on a Grid Devlog #1: Chess


Next content on my list for the full game is Chess.

Acts exactly like a box (pushable by the player), but you can click on it and move it like a normal chess piece would. Currently I've only added logic for Rooks. Bishops, Knights & Queens won't be too much of a hassle. Pawns will need its own separate logic to handle promotions and en passant, and Kings will need castling as well as checks (and checkmate, which might be a clear condition)
